A studio painting shown in The Knife’s Edge, a curated group exhibition of 25 international artists at Mirus Gallery in San Francisco. The show explored the sharp space between survival and harmony, in a world increasingly defined by extremes. Moonee Night reflects evenings spent in Moonee Ponds, Melbourne. Its palette comes from the soft, hazy tones of an autumn backyard: muted greens, dusty purples and warm earthy shades, set against deep black. Cut planes, sprayed gradients and speckled textures overlap in a controlled structure, where geometry and restraint create a sense of order under pressure. The layered composition echoes the way memory overlaps with place, light with shadow, and calm with motion.
